WP1 – Establishment of a Cybersecurity Competence Centre at TUKE
A1 Facilities and equipment of the competence centre
The present activity report has been drawn up upon the completion of the project “Competence and Educational Centre for Cyber and Information Security of TUKE”. Its purpose is to comprehensively document the project implementation process, the results achieved, the outputs created, and the benefits of the project for the target groups and the professional community.
The report is compiled as a comprehensive evaluation document that describes the activities implemented from the start of the project in January 2025 to its completion in March 2026. The document demonstrates that the project activities were carried out in accordance with the Project Fiche and that the planned outputs have been fulfilled.
The main objectives of the report are to:
- document the establishment and commissioning of the Competence and Educational Centre for Cyber and Information Security of TUKE,
- demonstrate the construction of the Cybersecurity Laboratory and the academic SOC workplace,
- describe the methodological, educational and promotional materials created,
- evaluate the research and expert activities carried out within the project,
- document the educational activities implemented for public administration, secondary schools and the general public,
- demonstrate the development of the expert capacities of the research team,
- introduce the national and international partnerships established,
- evaluate the centre's involvement in national and international project initiatives,
- assess the fulfillment of all planned project outputs.
The report also serves as a basis for demonstrating the achievement of project objectives and outputs to the provider of the mechanism funds, as well as an internal document of the Technical University of Košice summarising the results and further utilisation possibilities of the established centre.
An important part of the report is also demonstrating the sustainability of the project results. The Competence Centre was built in such a way that, after the end of the project funding, it will continue its educational, expert, research and promotional activities and become a stable part of the cyber and information security professional ecosystem in Slovakia.
