About Project
The project “Competence and Educational Centre for Cyber and Information Security at TUKE” is focused on establishing a modern expert and educational facility in the field of cyber and information security at the Technical University of Košice. The aim of the project is to strengthen expertise and capacities in cyber security through state-of-the-art technical equipment, practically oriented education, research activities, and collaboration with public administration, secondary schools, and expert partners. The project includes the establishment of a specialised Cyber Security Laboratory and an academic SOC (Security Operations Centre) facility, which will enable the delivery of practical training, professional courses, and research reflecting current security threats and technological trends.

Reference projects
EDIH CASSOVIUM – A European Digital Innovation Hub where TUKE acts as the consortium coordinator alongside UPJŠ and Košice IT Valley. We provide cybersecurity services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the public sector.
Development of governance and the level of information and cybersecurity at TUKE – A project thanks to which a fully operational Security Operations Centre (SOC) was established at TUKE.
5G Infrastructure for Smart Communities – Research and deployment of a private 5G network within the university campus environment, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity.
Ulysseus European University – A European Universities initiative in which TUKE operates as an Innovation Hub in the field of digitalisation.
Enhancement of education in cybersecurity – A current KEGA project implemented in partnership with UNIZA and STU.

We implement our activities with the financial support of the European Union under the Recovery and Resilience Plan for the Slovak Republic, in partnership with the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatisation of the Slovak Republic.
